Information Regarding DHS Alumni Web Site

Howdy Folks

This page is intended to help find someone to take over as Webmaster for this web site. I have maintained this web site for the past 10 years but now am no longer able to keep up with it. I feel that it would be a shame to loose this web site unique to DHS.

The primary responsibilities for the webmaster would be that he or she "Administer" the site in its current format. Administering the web site involves several functions including:

1. Providing current users who have lost their log-in information with their User ID and Password when requested.

2. Maintaining the "Deceased Classmates" page and the "Missing Classmates" page.

3. Answering questions forwarded to the webmaster.

Administering the web site can normally be done in less than one hour per week. This administration requires that the person have have a basic knowledge ofcomputers and a willingness to devote a little time to an interesting hobby. . I could teach such a person how to accomplish these administrative functions over the phone.

There are a number of upgrades that I would like to make on the site but am unable to because of my limited knowledge regarding data bases. If someone is out there that would like to volunteer to help design upgrades to the current site, I would be very interested in communicating with them. This person would have to know how to tie in "data bases" which I don't know how to do.
